During the school year there are several different Bible study groups:
Precept upon Precept meets Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am.Precept Ministries’ Inductive Bible study method is being used across the United States and in over one hundred and fifty countries by people seeking to know the truths of the Word of God for themselves. These in-depth studies are widely acclaimed for their practical, personal approach to Bible study. Weekly, this study includes about five hours of homework, an hour long discussion led by Susan Travis, and a powerful lecture time by Kay Arthur to direct you in unlocking the message of God’s Word. (If there is no school, because of the wealth, this Bible study doesn’t meet.) Call Susan Travis for more information 365-9954.
Women’s Bible Study meets Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm (Parlor) and is also offered on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 am. They are doing the “Resolution for Women” study by Priscilla Shirer. It is the women’s study that accompanies the movie “Courageous”. Call Susan Knight for more information 365-2018.
Men’s Bible Study meets Wednesday nights at 6:00pm. They are doing the partner study to the women’s study called “Honor Begins at Home”. The men will meet in the Growing Edge Classroom. Call Paul Knight for more information 365-2018.
For men: the United Methodist Men (UMM) meet once a month for breakfast in Baker Hall. They have a time of fellowship and a speaker.
For women: there are several United Methodist Women’s circles that meet once a month and have a specific area of study.
There are also many different areas to service at Ogden: some sing in the choir, play in the praise band, some are on a cooking team for our Wednesday night fellowship meal, some help with children or youth activities, others teach Sunday School, greet before worship services, and some are involved in the Sunday morning worship services.
Our missions team has begun “The Abraham Project”. The purpose is to meet needs for our elder in Caldwell County. They have different outreach projects throughout the year.
