The highlight of the Christian year is Easter. Lent is the 40 day season when we prepare ourselves for Easter. Traditionally fasting is a discipline associated with Lent. This year the season of Lent begins on Wednesday, February 29th.

In response, this week we will begin an in-depth study on the discipline of fasting. This will include answer to many questions you may have about fasting. Exactly what is fasting and why should we do it? How do you fast? What is the role of prayer while you fast? What is the role of worship while you fast? What is the role of good works while you fast? As we called to not just be hearers of the Word but also doers of the Word, those attending these classes will be encouraged to undertake a Lenten fast.

This study on fasting will continue throughout the season of Lent. Different class members will be will be teaching on the different aspects of fasting. Please join us as we undertake this journey together. We know you will be blessed!
