In Honor

The roses on the altar today are in honor of Tatum Marie  Fuqua, daughter of Robin Storms, and James Steven Woodward,  son of Josh and Jennifer Oaks Woodward, grandson of Bro. David and Doris Oaks and nephew of Stephany Oaks.

New Life for a  New Year of Ministry 2009

New Life for a New Year of Ministry is a District training event on Saturday, January 31, at Madisonville First United Methodist Church.  There will be training for all church officers.  It starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. The bus will leave the church at  8:00 a.m. and return by 4:00 p.m.  If you can go, call the church office and  reserve a seat. For more information, contact Bro. David or Meghan.

Council Member

There is a sign-up sheet in the hallway for anyone who would like to become a member of our Children or Youth Councils.  You can come at any time to our meetings, but if you are interested in being a voting member, there is a commitment to attend monthly meetings. These meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, children  at 5:00 p.m. and youth at 6:00 p.m.  You need to sign up before Feb. 5, which is our next meeting, or contact Meghan at 625-0556 or  meghantravis@gmail.com.

Youth Super Bowl Party

pm until after the half-time show

 Where: Church parking lot to Weber’s.

 You can bring a friend, but make sure we know ahead of time so we will have enough food and transportation.  Also anyone who wants to come, must have a permission form filled out.  See Meghan  Wednesday for a form, or it can be emailed to you.
