Scripture Passage:
Matthew 22:34-40:
Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
“SO DO NOT WORRY”
Matthew 6:24-34
In this Scripture, Jesus’ point is not so much that we should stop being concerned about what we eat or the clothes our family will wear. God knows we need these things. He is saying that we spend way too much time worrying about things over which we have little control. Yes, keep your job. Make all the money you can. Obtain all the things you need, as much as you have the means to buy. As John Wesley said, “Make all you can. Save all you can. Give all you can.”
What Jesus is pointing out is that we spend so much time worrying about less important things and we have little time left for the more important. How many parents spend so much time making a living for their family that they have no time left to spend with their family. What do you think your children will remember years from now, the things you gave them or the time you spent with them?
Jesus doesn’t want us to spend all our time worrying about life. He wants us to spend a lot of time “living life.”
When we stop worrying and start trusting God, we open ourselves up to a multitude of possibilities. We begin to understand that for which God created us. We see what God wants to do in our lives. Remember, God’s plan is always much more than anything we could ever dream of on our own.
God Bless, See You Sunday,

Peace With Justice Sunday
“In the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”
Matthew 28:16-20
H2O comes in three forms: ice, water, and steam. Yet all three are H2O.
We have one God. God has come to us in three forms: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are all God. he comes to us as we have need.
God Bless,
David
