Wow!  I cannot express to you what an awesome time we had at Ichthus.

We left exhausted from a full week of Marketplace only to go camp out in the heat.  But to our surprise there was more rain than we had expected.  We arrived at Ichthus a little before 7:00 and began setting up camp in the little space that we had!  We missed worship Thursday night, but Jeremy Camp led us in an awesome time of worship at the end of his concert.

Jesus: The Importance of Love

This year’s Marketplace takes place in the time of Jesus. We will be learning about Jewish customs and culture that played an important role in the ministry of Jesus. We will be seeing God’s love for us and what our response to that love should be.

Who can go: Children ages 5 (entering Kindergarten, Fall 2008) through 8th grade. This tends to b a very long, full day for many children. Please consider this before registering your children.

Again this year, youth who have completed 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will be in a tribe by themselves with special activities and crafts planned just for them. Youth in these grades are not permitted to be workers, but must be in this tribe.

To sign up: Turn in the completed registration form, which includes the age appropriate code of conduct form and the emergency medical release form, and $6.00 to your church coordinator or to the Ogden Memorial UMC office by May 30th. Returning the form as soon as possible will assure your child a place in the program, as well as insuring that supplies and food needed are purchased ahead. All children registering after May 30th will have a registration fee of $10.00.

Parents: We would be delighted for you to volunteer even a couple of hours to all 3 days of this event. This is a great project for us all to be involved in. If you can, please contact your church coordinator or Ogden Memorial UMC (365-3528) to volunteer.

A light Bible-time lunch will be served each day. Old outdoor clothes and tennis shoes are recommended. We will be making t-shirts, so please make sure your child brings a white prewashed t-shirt.

Registration forms can be picked up at Ogden MUMC’s church office.
